Intense is the word that most accurately describes the VT009. This is a bare bones, not so pretty, no frills beast of a vibration plate! The VT009 is a product of Vibration Therapeutic - more on that later. I stumbled upon it out of my frustration with LifePro and the LifePro Rumblex Plus 4D. After some time, that unit began to act up electronically, the return window was closing and product support was slow to react in solving the problem. I tried to order another LifePro unit, but could not get the same one as it was discontinued!?? My search for an alternative option began.
I found the Move Power Plate. Amazing reviews. Nice to look at. Multiple colors. A favorite of gyms. And oh, so very expensive! Over $2,700, and that was with a discount. “The Dr. Doug Show” on YouTube was a site I came upon that reviewed/compared both the Move Power Plate and the VT007 (the model just below the VT009 with a lower weight capacity). The VT007 retails for $480. The VT009 for $960. So comparing one machine that literally costs more than five times as much as the other caught my attention - would it be a fair comparison. Turns out, it was. Certainly, there were areas where the Move was exceptional and the VT007 was just acceptable, but where it mattered most, vibration, the two were very close.
However, there was one area where Vibration Therapeutic really stood out and that was the manner in which it was designed. The electronics of the VT007 and VT009 are not subjected to the intensity of the vibrations the plate can create. The electronics are housed in a control box that is not attached by anything other than an extension cord. This, is a huge advantage as the constant vibration of an electronic circuit is far from ideal and often leads to failure -something I suspect occurred and caused the failure while using the LifePro vibration plate.
Now, even though both the VT007 and VT009 have this advantage, Vibration Therapeutic offers a 10 year warranty with free parts! They are both user serviceable, meaning the return of the vibration plate is not necessary - the failed part is replaced by the purchaser after the problem has been identified by Vibration Therapeutic.
This brings up my final point, Customer Service. Outstanding! In my attempt to learn more about the VT series my communication was with Jay Yang. Engineer, designer and owner of Vibration Therapeutic offers. He is quite accessible to questions and very knowledgeable on the benefits of vibration therapy.

To sum it all up, I could not be happier with my purchase! The VT009 will serve me well for years, built in quality, no planned obsolescence and a reliable source of vibration therapy knowledge at my fingertips!
